For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (‘Act’), Property Consultants UK (PCG) Ltd of Kings House, Home Park Estate, Station Road, Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, WD4 8LZ, United Kingdom is the data controller.
When PCG first obtains Personal Data (as defined in the Act) from you, or when you purchase a service or product from PCG, PCG will give you the opportunity to indicate whether or not you want to receive information from PCG about other services or products (as applicable). You can normally do this by ticking a box on an application form or contract. You may change your mind at any time by emailing PCG at firstname.lastname@example.org
Some of the Personal Data PCG holds about you may be ‘sensitive personal data’ within the meaning of the Act, for example, information about your health or ethnic origin.
1. Collecting Information
1.1 PCG may collect Personal Data about you from a number of sources, including the following:
1.1.1. Information you give PCG. You may give PCG information about you by (i) filling in forms or applications on the Website; (ii) subscribing for a service offered by PCG; (iii) completing the registration form on the Website; (iv) subscribing to newsletters or other updates; (v) uploading or submitting any material on the Website; (vi) requesting information from PCG; (vii) corresponding with PCG by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This information may include your name, contact details, date of birth, how you will pay for a service, your bank details, email and postal address, telephone number, country of residence, sex.
1.1.2. Information PCG collects about you. With regard to each of your visits to the Website PCG may automatically collect the following information:

1.1.3. Information PCG receives from other sources. PCG works closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.
2. Using Your Personal Information
2.1. Personal Data about PCG clients is an important part of the PCG business and PCG shall only use your Personal Data for the following purposes and shall not keep such Personal Data longer than is necessary to fulfil these purposes:
2.1.1. to carry out the obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and PCG and to provide you with the information and services that you request from PCG;
2.1.2. to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about goods or services PCG feels may interest you. If you are an existing client, PCG will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiations of a sale to you. If you are a new customer, and where PCG permit selected third parties to use your data, PCG (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this. If you do not want PCG to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box situated on the form on which PCG collects your data (Registration Form);
2.1.3. to notify you about changes to services provided by PCG;
2.1.4. to ensure that content from the Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
2.1.5. to help identify you when you contact PCG;
2.1.6. to help identify accounts, services and/or products which you could have from PCG or selected partners from time to time. PCG may do this by automatic means using a scoring system, which uses the Personal Data you have provided and/or any information PCG holds about you and Personal Data from third party agencies;
2.1.7. to help PCG to administer and to contact you about improved administration of any accounts, services and products PCG have provided before, do provide now or will or may provide in the future and send you information you may find useful or which you have requested from PCG;
2.1.8. to present events to you when you use the Service which PCG believes will be of interest based on your geographic location and previous use of the Service;
2.1.9. to enable PCG to contact you regarding any query you make through the Website or Service;
2.1.10. to allow PCG to carry out marketing analysis and customer profiling (including with transactional information), conduct research, including creating statistical and testing information;
2.1.11. to help to prevent and detect fraud or loss;
2.1.12. to keep you up to date with VIP member benefits (if you have registered as a VIP member); and
2.1.13. to check your details with fraud prevention agencies. If you provide false or inaccurate information and PCG suspect fraud, PCG will record this.
2.2. PCG may disclose your personal information to third parties:
2.2.1. in the event that PCG sell or buy any business or assets, in which case PCG may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
2.2.2. if PCG or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
3. Protecting Information
3.1. PCG work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.
3.2. PCG maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of personally identifiable customer information. PCG’s security procedures mean that PCG may occasionally request proof of identity before PCG discloses personal information to you.
3.3. It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when you finish using a shared computer.
3.4. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although PCG will do its best to protect your personal data, PCG cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website; any transmission is at your own risk. Once PCG have received your information, PCG will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
4. The Internet
4.1. If you communicate with PCG using the internet, PCG may occasionally email you about its services and products. When you first give PCG Personal Data through the Website, PCG will normally give you the opportunity to say whether you would prefer PCG not to contact you by email. You can also always send PCG an email (at email@example.com) at any time if you change your mind.
4.2. Please remember that communications over the internet, such as emails and webmails (messages sent through a website), are not secure unless they have been encrypted. Your communications may go through a number of countries before they are delivered – this is the nature of the internet. PCG cannot accept responsibility for any unauthorised access or loss of Personal Data that is beyond the control of PCG.
4.3. PCG may send you service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.
4.4. PCG will send you an email relating to your personal transactions. PCG will keep these emails to a minimum. And you will also receive certain email notifications, for which you may opt-out.
5.1. The Website may include third-party advertising and links to other websites. PCG does not provide any personally identifiable customer Personal Data to these advertisers or third-party websites.
5.3. PCG excludes all liability for loss that you may incur when using these third party websites.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to ask PCG not to process your Personal Data for marketing purposes. PCG will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if it intends to use your data for such purposes or if PCG intends to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms PCG use to collect your data. 8. Access to Information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10.00 to meet the costs in providing you with details of the information PCG holds about you.
